Call for applications: AO VET representative on AO Strategy Fund Committee
27 April 2021
Don't miss this opportunity to help underscore AO VET’s innovation leadership. The strategy fund, which is part of the AO Innovation Translation Center (AO ITC), provides seed funds for early-stage ideas for innovative services and technologies that are strategically relevant to the AO mission of promoting excellence in patient care and outcomes in trauma and musculoskeletal disorders. The AO Strategy Fund Committee oversees strategy fund activities as a subcommittee of the AO Foundation Board (AOFB). Therefore, the AOFB is the ultimate decision-making body for all relevant strategy and operational activities. AO Strategy Fund Committee members define and evaluate calls for project proposals that best fit the strategy and priorities of the fund and support implementation with the resulting assets.
Candidates should be highly motivated individuals with excellent scientific and clinical recognition and the ability to work in a multicultural environment with no regional travel restrictions. Candidates should have a strategic vision of contributing to the entire AO organization and identifying and mentoring projects that will allow the AO to remain a global leader in musculoskeletal surgery. In line with AO policies, candidates may not hold other governance positions in AO bodies; candidates who do hold another AO governance position must resign from that role within four months of the election.
The successful candidate will bring veterinary expertise and vision to the AO Strategy Fund Committee while evaluating calls for proposals and supporting funded projects’ execution and sustainability. The application deadline is 23:00 Central European Summer Time (CEST), May 10, 2021.
